Click here to submit a prayer request for join the email prayer group. Archdale United Methodist Church believes in the power of prayer. Every United Methodist who joins the church makes a promise to support the church by PRAYER, PRESENCE, GIFTS, and SERVICE. Every member of the church is encouraged to keep their commitment to prayer strong by the use of a PRAYER PAGE which is printed in each week's bulletin. This list of people in the church and community who have requested special prayer is updated weekly along with giving the list of our homebound members to be lifted up in prayer. Anyone can add to the prayer list by calling the church office at 431-7111 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Messages can be left on the answering machine, sent via e-mail to aumc@northstate.net , or submitted online. PRAYER PARTNERS FOR CHILDREN We have about forty adults paired with children for the Prayer Partner program. We are always in need of more adults to volunteer as more and more children participate in our activities.  To sign up to be a Prayer Partner for Children, please call the church office (431-7111).  To be a Prayer Partner with a child you agree 1) to pray for the child every day and 2) to participate in the Prayer Partner events that are planned.  That is four events in the course of a year.  We encourage the parents to contact the Prayer Partner if the child is going through some particularly difficult time.  Prayer Partners can be creative and do other things - but the only commitment is to lift up the child in prayer each day and participate in the four Prayer Partner events. INTERCESSORY PRAYER GROUPS Several of our ongoing ministry groups also set aside special time for prayer for others. The DISCIPLE Bible Study groups (which meet August through May) always include special prayer requests...as do Sunday School class meetings each week.  If you would like a request brought up for any of these groups, please call the church office (431-7111).
