Columbarium Ministry

Columbarium Ministry of Archdale Methodist Church

In life, our church was there for all of our milestones – births, confirmation, graduations, weddings and funerals.  The columbarium is a way to honor a life well lived.  Our congregation can remember the legacy and history of the church as we visit the columbarium.  The columbarium has been built as a ministry to the members and their families of Archdale Methodist Church.  It is an area on the church property for the inurnment of cremated remains (cremains) of deceased persons.

The columbarium is located on a beautiful piece of property located beside Archdale Methodist Church.  It is a thirty-two-niche structure of gray granite with black niche facings.  Each niche will hold up to two urns containing cremains.  There is room for two more units to be added in the future.  This space is surrounded by a brick and black aluminum fence.  The columbarium fence will be unlocked so anyone can visit or sit and reflect.  Stone benches placed among the greenery allow one to sit and reflect.  It is a beautifully landscaped area for quiet contemplation, prayer and remembering.
